2008 SHIRAZ

TASTING NOTE

It pours the colour of ripe cherry skin. The nose offers spice, liquorice, and a little barrel funk too. The 2008 Toolangi shiraz is bright and mouth watering with flavours of small red fruits. As it sits in the glass, you get loads of fragrant spice and a core of pure raspberry. The tannins are delicate and fine. The wine offers sour cherry and fresh cream too. It is delicate, aromatic and persistent with fresh acidity- you’ll want another glass. It is a terrific old world meets new world style, beautifully balancing ripe fruit and savoury structure.
